This article is long, unwieldy to edit, and somewhat unreadable and hard to navigate, in my opinion. Legislation over abortion in India is vast (spanning over 50 years, amendments, and regulations under it), so it could be split into a separate article. Yes, the article is too long, would need some kind of split.
The article mostly consists of historical legislation and present. IMO there can be an article about Historical development of Abortion legislation in India. Main article can have primacy for present applicable laws and jurisprudence.
